Catherine Xie is a current junior at Weston High School in the class of '22. She enjoys reading and painting but writes less than she thinks she should. Many of her pieces are food-centered, but she's not sure if it's because she likes the imagery or if she's just always hungry. Her work has been recognized at the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, The Incandescent Review, and the MOCA Westport High School Art Exhibition.
“Fish Market" is a colorful rendition of one of Catherine's childhood memories: watching her mother pick out fish at the New World market in Flushing, NY.
